  My experience at Bernys was terrible. I was told by a person that it was award winning food.They had minimal range of food available. Then they had the hide to charge me $49.50 for 5 pieces of fish and minimum chips when they had a family pack for $50.00 which contains 5 pieces of fish, minimum chips, 5 potato cakes and 5 calamari rings. I've had better chips on a paddle steamer along the Murray River 8 hours inland from here.

  Bernie's at Batehaven has been an iconic establishment in the area ever since I was a child. I have eaten here throughout my child and teen years and have always loved their home made chips. The fact they use a lot of local products especially from there own oyster farm is amazing and inspirational.
